Community Space

Our New Community Space

Nakedman has always been a metaphor for baring not just our body, but also our heart, mind and soul. For this purpose our Community Space will be offering a diverse selection of monthly events, some of which will be clothed and some naked. This will hopefully open up our amazing community to men who may be a little shy to attend one of our NAKED events but who would still like to be in the company of men.

We have secured the Yanada Sydney Studio every Monday and Tuesday evening to run regular events. Soon events will also take place on Zoom.

These community events will be organised by volunteers; they are not professionally run, unlike our workshops and retreats. There is a small cost to attend the community events (from $5 – $25, depending on the event) to cover venue, equipment use, cleaning, tea, coffee, refreshments etc. You will need to purchase an on-line ticket in advance or on the night, subject to availability. No cash will be taken. Normal COVID rules will apply.

Location

Yanada Sydney Studio is located at C2 / Dalgety Square Commercial Suites / 372 Wattle Street, Ultimo.
Transport: Wentworth Park or Paddy’s Market Light Rail. 10min walk from Central Station. 5min walk from Broadway. Free street parking after 6.30 pm.

Queer Film Club – Second Tuesday of Every Month

Each month a film will be shown that has a LGBTQI theme. We will have floor cushions and back jacks to relax on and watch the film on a 75″ screen. Afterwards we can all put our best David and Margret film critic hats on and share our thoughts about the movie. Tea, coffee, cheese board will be provided. Feel free to BYO other food or drink. There is a great dumpling shop next door if people want to order take away.

The film will not be a surprise on the night so, even if you have seen it before, this is a great opportunity for young and old to share and talk about some of our often untold queer stories.

Limited to 18 people. $15 covers use of the space and equipment, refreshments, movie hire etc. You can book in advance or pay online on arrival, subject to availability. No cash will be taken.
