Nakedman has always been a metaphor for baring not just our body, but also our heart, mind and soul. For this purpose our Community Space will be offering a diverse selection of monthly events, some of which will be clothed and some naked. This will hopefully open up our amazing community to men who may be a little shy to attend one of our NAKED events but who would still like to be in the company of men.
We have secured the Yanada Sydney Studio every Monday and Tuesday evening to run regular events. Soon events will also take place on Zoom.
These community events will be organised by volunteers; they are not professionally run, unlike our workshops and retreats. There is a small cost to attend the community events (from $5 – $25, depending on the event) to cover venue, equipment use, cleaning, tea, coffee, refreshments etc. You will need to purchase an on-line ticket in advance or on the night, subject to availability. No cash will be taken. Normal COVID rules will apply.
Yanada Sydney Studio is located at C2 / Dalgety Square Commercial Suites / 372 Wattle Street, Ultimo.
Please use Public Transport: Wentworth Park or Paddy’s Market Light Rail. 10min walk from Central Station. 5min walk from Broadway. Free street parking on Wattle Street 10.00 – 15.00 (left side) and after 18.30 (right side)

Queer Book Club
Fourth Tuesday of every month – in Ultimo and on Zoom
This is fun and friendly evening hosted by Phil Lynch. It takes place on the fourth Tuesday of every month. We all read or listen to a queer friendly book in advance (selected by Phil) and meet in a small group to have a chat about the book, the characters, what we liked and didn’t, memories it may bring up and how a story may relate to us today. This is a great opportunity for young and old to talk about some of our new and old queer stories.
We provide tea, coffee and light snacks. You are welcome to BYO wine and food. Often people choose to order either dumplings or pizza from next door to eat whilst chatting. Its an easy chilled evening and you certainly don’t need to be a literary buff.
We now have a list for the books of 2021 so you can choose all, or which specific ones, you might want to read. Tickets for each month ($10 live / $5 zoom) become available one month before each club night.

Queer Film Club
On the second Tuesday of each month Lewis picks a film that has a LGBTQI theme. We watch the film on a 75″ screen with surround sound and comfortable chairs, floor cushions and back jacks to relax on.
The film is a surprise on the night so, even if you have seen it before, this is a great opportunity for young and old to share and talk about some of our often untold queer stories. After the movie we put our best David and Margret film critic hats on and share our thoughts and feelings. Suggestions are always welcome but the surprise element seems to work with everyone and has stimulated some great discussion.
We provide tea, coffee and light snacks. You are welcome to BYO wine and food. Often people choose to order either dumplings or pizza from next door to eat before the movie. We generally start the movie from 7.30 (no admittance after 7.15). its a relaxed and chilled evening and you certainly don’t need to be a movie buff!
Tickets for each month ($15) become available one month before each film night.

The Rope Salon
On the 3rd Tuesday of every month we will be creating ‘The Rope Salon’. This is a space for men who enjoy rope work and play to gather together to practice and exhibit their skills. Come and meet new bunnies and riggers to swap with on the night. The session will start with tea, coffee and a chance to meet and greet. If you have no experience you may be lucky and meet someone who wants to practice or teach their skills. You will get two opportunities to partner up and each evening one couple can perform a session for the whole group to enjoy.
There will be NO formal teaching at this event, however Tam will be your coordinator for the evening to help see everything flows nicely.
During this event you can be as clothed or as unclothed as you wish.
Come with your own ropes or we will have some for you play with on the night.

Mastering Mindful Self Touch
On the second Monday of every month we will now provide an opportunity to practice the ‘Five Erotic Pillars’ taught during our beginners ‘Mindful Self Touch’ Workshop. We will create a powerful space of learning, acceptance and community. Practicing together as a group we can create a rare and powerful erotic charge. The evening will begin with tea and snacks so we can introduce ourselves. We will then begin with a meditation followed by a one hour group practice session. We will complete with a group sharing of our experience.
This is a group to help further develop your own personal practice. This will be a un-clothed space and you will be working with your own body only.
We will be adhering to social distancing and applying strict hygiene practices throughout this workshop.
