Find a new way of looking at your own body, inspiring you to take pride and pleasure in your unique physique and capabilities. We will remove the sense of restriction from clothing, promoting a greater sense of freedom, confidence, and an enhanced appreciation for your body.
In this new weekly 2 hour class you will be guided through a series of stretches to open, strengthen and relax the whole body.
With attention to specific muscle groups we will focus on longer, deeper stretches to enable you to connect with your breath, centre the body and calm the mind. Unlike regular yoga classes the practice will take a slower more ‘remedial’ approach to empower you with the knowledge to prevent injuries, lose weight, decrease recovery time from workouts and improve posture.
We will explore specific exercises to suit your body type and level of flexibility whilst taking the time to explain and demonstrate the benefits of each movement and answer any questions that arise. Time will be given to partnered stretching for deeper release and enrich your connection to yourself and others.
Classes are non-competitive and focus on safety (the correct way to be in a stretch) and progressing from gentle to more challenging. Suitable for all levels of experience.
