Find a new way of looking at your own body, inspiring you to take pride and pleasure in your unique physique and capabilities. In a safe and welcoming space, we will remove the sense of restriction from clothing, promoting a greater sense of freedom, confidence, and an enhanced appreciation for your body.
Beginning with a sensory meditation we’ll cultivate presence through the body and mind.
We will then move through a Slow Flow sequence of Yoga to warm and open the body.
We will progress to a partnered Yoga session where you will have the opportunity to explore movement, breath and touch with a partner. You will be guided through physical adjustments to assist each other to discover new poses and deepen expressions of familiar ones.
We will conclude with a Yoga Nidra body scan to calm the nervous system and promote deep relaxation.
This session is open to all levels of experience.
Limited yoga mats provided. Please bring a sarong or towel to lie on. Partners allocated on the day.
Teacher’s Name: Ross MacPherson
Ross is a Melbourne based yoga teacher with over 10 years experience in yoga and mindfulness. He first discovered yoga at drama school as form of movement training and quickly fell in love with it’s benefits. Improvements in posture, breath and wellbeing inspired him to enrol in a 350hr Teacher training at Australian Yoga Academy so he could spread the benefits to his fellow yogis. He now teaches Vinyasa Flow, Yin and Meditation classes around Melbourne. His classes are fluid and dynamic. They involve moving mindfully to tune into the sensations of the body, whilst building strength, stability and postural integrity. Ross brings a warm and supportive energy to his classes and is passionate about providing playful and challenging sequences that transform the way you think, feel and move.
